{Lesson Plan} P.E. Tag Games + Imagination Worksheets

Fitness Freebies // Sign Up

Happy Sunday Funday! Today I want to share my mini lesson plans for this week. Two days a week I teach kindergarten/1st grade P.E. and kindergarten for the final hour of the school day. Each P.E. class is thirty minutes so the goal is to spend 10 minutes playing a warm up, 15 minutes for the main activity, and five minutes for transitions. We generally play a lot of tag games. They are great because each game involves every student. Plus the games always create many teachable moments as kids encounter social and emotional dilemmas.

All activities are from Phys Ed Games. You will quickly realize this is my favorite resource for P.E. teachers!

Kindergarten Activities

After teaching the K/1s P.E. I teach the kindergartens for an hour. Our schedule looks like this: snack time, read a book, craft/creative activity, and end with free play outside. This week our theme is IMAGINATION, for the letter I. I found these fun worksheets to add to their Write + Wipe Binders (binder + clear sheet protectors + fun worksheets + dry erase markers). I can’t wait to see what fun things they create!
