A reading list from our Health Teacher Library of the best picture books about the body and physical health.

  3. How Do Vaccines Work? by Katrina Liu

  4. Dream Machine by Joshua Jay

  5. My First Body Book

  6. Getting Sick and Feeling Better by Carron Brown

This is one of the cutest interactive books I’ve purchased. It is so clever and fun way to talk about sleep with students.

My First Body Book

This book gives students a great overview of their physical health and how to take care of their bodies. You can read through the whole book or just use the pages that connect with your lesson focus.

The Shine-A-Light books are so creative, and my students LOVE them. I just used the flashlight on my phone to shine through the pages!

I think adding books to a health curriculum is such a great way to enhance a health lesson. These are just a few of the books I’ve found that relate to physical health topics. If you’re looking for more book ideas, check out this post on books about emotions.
