Body Systems Worksheet and Learning Station Activity for Elementary Health
This Body Systems Booklet and Learning Station Activity turned a standard anatomy lesson into a lively, hands-on exploration! Students worked in small groups to explore six body systems - the circulatory, digestive, muscular, respiratory, nervous, and skeletal. At each interactive station they engaged in learning activities to help them better understand how the body system worked. As they worked through the stations they followed along in their mini booklet.

What Are The Body Systems Learning Stations?
This interactive learning experience is the perfect way to introduce students to body systems in your elementary health class. For this activity students rotated through six stations, each related to a different body system:
Circulatory System
Digestive System
Muscular System
Respiratory System
Nervous System
Skeletal System
Each station included a hands-on learning activity to help students better understand what the body system does and how it works. The activity focused on helping students understand how the different systems of their bodies work. After completing the learning task, students tracked their learning in a cute mini booklet. The booklet was definitely their favorite part of the activity!

Activity Directions
Here’s how to use the Body Systems Learning Stations activity in your elementary health classroom:
Pass out booklets to each student. Then, before going off to explore the stations, introduce students to these body systems:
Cardiovascular, Digestive, Muscular, Respiratory, Nervous, and Skeletal Systems
Next, divide students into small groups and assign them a station to start at. Give them time to complete the station and then ask the class to rotate together. Remind students to complete the poster task and to track their learning in the mini booklet!
Debrief and Reflection
After students have completed each station, come together as a class to debrief and reflect. Briefly review each station so students understand the general purpose of each body system and how they work together.
Use the following discussion prompts to help students connect and reinforce their learning:
Which body systems are you using right now?
What’s your favorite hobby, what body systems help you do that activity?
How do the body systems work together to keep you healthy?
I’d love to know this goes with your students. I hope they enjoy it as much as my kids did!
