Matching Activity: How Influences Make You Feel, Think, and Act (Analyzing Influences)
An easy bell ringer activity to kick off a lesson on analyzing influences (SHAPE America Health Standard #2)
The key to teaching students how to analyze influence is for them to build self-awareness and understand how exactly influences in their lives impact how they feel, think, and act. This matching activity helps students learn how to identify how influences (i.e. social media, peers, family, etc) are impacting their daily lives and overall well-being.
Use the “Feel, Think, and Act” matching activity to help students understand how their feelings, thoughts, and actions are impacted by the people and things around them (a.k.a. Analyzing Influences):
Feel - The feelings and emotions you’re experiencing.
Think - The thoughts in your head.
Act - Your actions and behaviors.
