Race to 100: A Classroom Physical Activity Break Game

Need a fast, fun way to get your students moving and re-energized? Try Race to 100! This simple classroom activity break gets kids out of their seats and counting their way to 100 with different physical movements. It’s a great way to reset their focus, burn off a little energy, and make learning fun, all in just a few minutes.

Here’s how it works: Choose any combination of movements that add up to 100. For example, 10 jumping jacks, 20 high knees, 15 toe touches, and so on. You can write them on the board, call them out, or play this YouTube video to guide your students through it. No prep required!

The best part? It’s completely customizable. You can tailor it to any grade level or even integrate it into a subject area. Use skip counting for math, spell words during squats, or quiz vocabulary between moves. Whether you teach kindergarten or middle school, Race to 100 is an easy way to build movement into your day and support your students’ focus and well-being.

Try it out and get your class racing (and learning) toward 100!
